do I order some oil mallees?
Why
the interest from Wheatbelt farmers? (<600mm)
Waterlogging
and salinity are an obvious concern to numerous farmers. Oil mallees provide
a means of using surplus water without negative impacts on other farm
enterprises i.e.
- Mallees
are planted in hedges on the contour, or in alleys, on good
farming land and cropping occurs between the rows.
|
 |
- Mallees
do not need fencing in most instances. Sheep, with some precaution,
will not eat the mallees.
|
 |
- Once
established mallees need minimal management input and operating
costs are practically nil.
