Oil
mallees have much to offer rural WA. They provide opportunities for income
diversification for farmers, protection of the environment and regional
processing and unemployment. As oil mallees evolve into a commercial crop,
more research has become necessary. Oil
Mallees to Feed Proposed Biomass-Fired Power Station in Esperance
The
Oil Mallee Company today welcomed the announcement by Metasource, a new
subsidiary company of Woodside Energy Ltd, of its intentions to assess
the potential of building a 5MW biomass-fired power station in the town
of Esperance.

Western
Power has announced that the final monies to build the $5 million IWP
pilot plant have been secured. OMC
strikes deal with Woodside Energy.
