Carbon Credits

The general belief is that net energy users will need to purchase carbon credits. The market is expected to be very large. Buyers will purchase large volumes of carbon credits at a time.

The OMC has been negotiating with a number of large energy companies who have expressed strong interest in access to carbon sinks, available through mallee plantings, to offset future CO2 emissions. The Oil Mallee Company on behalf of growers could negotiate such volume sales.
